Kay Figo Fails to pay off fan a 50,000 Kwacha Bet
Zambian Singer Kayula Bwalya popularly known by her hit song Kanyelele and her stage name Kay Figo is reported to have failed to pay a fan K50,000 after dancing for her at East Point Discotheque in Lusaka’s Kabwata area on Saturday the 4th November, 2012.
Well informed sources disclosed that the diva popularly known as Kay Figo asked patrons at the night club to come up to the stage to impress her with a dance and placed a K50,000 offer to any that could do better dance moves.
It is said at the time Kay was placing the bet on stage she had no money on her because she had not yet been paid by the night club management and ended up making fans dance without a benefit.
Musicians in the country have of late been trying to attract more fans by impressing them with money offers during their performances at concerts and it seems Kay Figo went to party without a well planned budget.
After doing their dance moves, the fans that tried to impress the claimed diva were personally sent off the stage by Kay Figo while other patrons starting chanting ‘mupase 50 pin iwe’ which seemed to have fallen on a deaf ear.
Zibani Zambia has learn’t that Kay Figo was actually broke at the time she placed the bet and tried to ignore the chanting crowd by giving them a performance to her song ‘mut’.
